Diverse Namibia

Guided Exploration

10 Days | 9 Nights

Diverse Namibia is an active, exciting adventure, that explores key areas of this vast country and is enhanced by exclusive accommodation in private reserves and concessions.  Visit the soaring red dunes of Sossusvlei, the life-filled blue Atlantic Ocean, the breath-taking dramatic landscapes of Damaraland, and the plains game and predators of Etosha National Park.  This Exploration is interspersed with activities such as scenic walks, visits to the ancient rock engravings at Twyfelfontein, and game drives, which contrast beautifully with sea kayaking at Walvis Bay.  This is truly an Adventurer’s Dream Safari.

Itinerary

You will be met at Windhoek Airport by your Explorations Guide and begin your journey by driving 340km through the Khomas Hochland mountain and down into the iconic Sossusvlei region.

Day 1 – 2:  Stay at the Kulala Adventurer Camp and explore the iconic red dunes of Sossusvlei in the world’s oldest and most arid desert.

Day 3 – 4:  Transfer by road, taking in spectacular scenery to Swakopmund, a quaint coastal town with an eclectic mix of African and European culture and architecture.  Your nights are spent at the Hansa Hotel, which forms part of the cities architectural heritage.  We explore the cold waters of the Atlantic Ocean with kayaks from Walvis Bay (weather permitting).

Day 5 – 6:  We continue our journey by road to Damaraland Adventurer Camp, in the Damaraland region, west of the Brandberg Mountains.  This region boasts the largest population of the highly endangered and rare Black Rhino outside a national park.  It is also the home to the rare desert adapted elephants and incredible geographical formations.

Day 7 – 9:  Ongave Tented Camp or Ongave Game Lodge.  Transfer by vehicle to the private Ongave Game Reserve, which borders the Etosha National Park, where the highest density of wildlife can be found in Namibia.  This is where you will experience the pinnacle of game viewing.

Day 10:  Return by vehicle to Windhoek for onward arrangements
