Itinerary Brief
Botswana Okavango Channels & Plains Safari

This Tailor-Made Safari offers the freedom to select dates, safari duration and additional activities or destinations.  It is suitable for small groups of between four and eight guests, and is ideal for families.

To ensure as much privacy and exclusivity as possible, the areas in which we travel are private concessions in prime locations.  All camps are private and for the use of guests only, while relevant air transfers are shared with other guests.

Day 1:
Depart Maun by vehicle
Day 1 – 3:

Overland in a customised 4×4 safari vehicle from Maun to Gomoti Tented Camp, situated in the South-East corner of the Delta.  This acacia woodland region is wildlife-rich with a diverse array of species such as buffalo, hippopotamus and zebra.  The concession has a very healthy giraffe population and the large number of impala ensures that the area has many predators. The dominant apex predators in the area are lion, leopard, spotted hyena, cheetah and African wild dog.

Day 4 – 6:

Fly from Gomoti to Xigera Classic Camp situated deep within the Delta – the camp is surrounded by water and lush vegetation.  Xigera has ten luxuriously furnished tents, a clever mix of wood and canvas.  The concession’s semi-permanent water allows for the Delta’s most sublime experiences.  Enjoy poling a mokoro, motorboat outings, game drives (depending on water levels) and extraordinary birding opportunities.

Day 7:

Air transfer to Maun for onward travel arrangements.

Includes:
Accommodation on a per person sharing basis, all meals from dinner on Day 1 to the end of scheduled exploration, a reasonable amount of soft drinks, mineral water, juices, house wine, beer and local spirits while on safari, National Park fees, laundry, road transfers, scheduled activities, all internal charters on a seat rate basis, as specified in the full itinerary.

Nov – Dec is an excellent time for this summer experience.
