Brief Itinerary

Day 1 | Maun | Botswana:  Arrive Maun and collect your chosen 4×4 vehicle (Toyota Hilux Double Cab, Toyota Land Cruiser Single Cab or Toyota Land Cruiser Station Wagon) then stock up on provisions. Camp in Maun for the night.

Day 2-3 | Moremi Game Reserve | Botswana:  Two days camping in the Moremi Game Reserve. Your days are spent exploring the diversity of this region and photographing the abundance of wildlife, and in particular herds of elephants. 

Highlight: Okavango Delta

Day 4-5 | Savute, Camp Savute, Chobe National Park | Botswana:  Camp for 2 nights in the Savuti Region, Chobe National Park.  Explore the surrounding areas in search for iconic African wildlife that call this region home.  

Highlight: Large Elephant Herds

Day 6-7 | Chobe Riverfront | Botswana:  2 nights camping Chobe riverfront – famous for its large elephant population, herds of buffalo, antelopes and more.  Take a trip into Kasane and hop on a boat to see the wildlife from a different perspective – elephants have been know to walk within metres of the boats.

Highlight: Sunset Boat Tour

Day 8 | Katima Mulio | Namibia: Crossing from Chobe National Park in to the Caprivi Strip, Katima Mulilo is a wonderful overnight stop situated on the Zambezi River.

Highlight: Okavango River & Zambezi River

Day 9 | Divundu | Namibia: Travelling through the Caprivi Strip you will pass Mudumu and Nkasa Lupala National Parks on the Kwando River, which make for interesting add-on. Otherwise, continue onwards to Divundu where you can relax and spend your day fishing or take a boat cruise along the tranquil waterways.

Highlight: Okavango Delta

Day 10 | Okavango Pan Handle | Botswana: Continue to the Okavango Pan Handle and enjoy a relaxing night camping.  The Pan Handle is the entry point for the water that flows into the Okavango Delta.  Spend your time enjoying the peacefulness of the river and some of the best fishing in Botswana or visit the historical Tsodilo Hills cave paintings.

Highlight: Okavango Delta

Day 11:  The drive from the Pan Handle to Maun can be up to 5 hours therefore we recommend you spend your last night in Maun.  Accommodation: Bedded tent (Bed & Breakfast).

Day 12:  Return vehicle and depart for onward travel arrangements.

We recommend 1 or 2 nights at the Thamalakane River Lodge on the Thamalakane River, the perfect place to start or end your adventure.  This lodge is a slice of paradise.
